Hello! This is da history of NSYNC!!!
It all started when JC joined the Mickey Mouse Club in Florida, which was on the Disney Channel. While there, he met Joey, since Joey's friends were also on the show. After about two years, when Justin moved to Florida, he joined the cast of MMC and met JC. After another two years, the show was canceled, but JC and Justin remained friends. They ended up doing a demo tape together. Justin singing the main part and JC in the background. In the meantime, Joey and Chris both worked at Universal Studios and became friends. Chris was a doowop singer. When Justin went back to Orlando to audition for a group, he met Chris. That group didn't work out. Chris came up with idea of starting a band. When Chris, Justin, and JC were together one night, they ran into Joey. THey all became best friends and started singing together. They liked the sound, but something was missing...the bass singer. They all had a wide vocal range, but none were "solid bass". For a while, Joey tried to be the bass, but it never worked out. Justin then called his old vocal coach in Memphis, who recommended Lance Bass. The wierd thing was, Lance never really had a vocal coach, it was his friend's.
After the guys called him up, he instantly flew to Orlando and sang in front of the guys. They instantly knew then that he was the perfect member (he's pretty brave to sing in front of strangers, but not for long!). But then they needed a name. After thinking for weeks, nothing seemed right. Until, on day, Justin's mom remarked on how "in sync" their dancing and singing were. The phrase stuck. But Justin's mom wasn't convinced. After playing around with their initials and names, she finally came up with JustiN, ChriS, JoeY, LansteN, and JC (ok, so she used Lansten instead of Lance :). They considered their sound "purely original. It's pop, with a bit of R&B twist." So that's how *NSYNC started in the year of 1995. Although none of the guys are Florida "natives", Orlando is considered their hometown. They have the same manager as the Backstreet Boys even though they started the band themselves... They began their fame in Europe.....and the rest is history !!!!!
